1930s/50s advertising wall clock Double D Eucalyptus Oil
Here's one for the man cave that ticks a few boxes! Rare. 1930s/50s electric wall clock by Smiths, London. Advertising "Double D Eucalyptus Oil", it has been fully overhauled and in excellent working order. The outer dial (which rotates anti clockwise and is viewed through the 'window' at the top of the clock face) features cut-out letters (illuminated by an internal globe) and spells out "SMASH FLU' COLDS WITH DOUBLE D" as it slowly spins. This rotating dial moves smoothly and silently. The clock itself keeps excellent time. The metal frame has a burnished gold finish and is 39.5 cm diameter. Shop 27 SOLD

Schweppes Palato soft drinks advertising ashtray
In 1915 Schweppes soft drinks (Australia) held a competition to name their new orange flavoured soft drink. The winning name was Palato. This is a UK made (marked DG Ware, Stourbridge, England) glass ashtray advertising the new Palato orange drink. Decorated in the round with four butterflies, silver plate rim, the engraving "Palato" on the cigs holder and engraved "Schweppes Genuine Orange Drink" around the front of the rim.
